HUSTLE | BREAKFAST | SWEETS

My only visit to Turkey was far too short, just over a week in Istanbul during a surge in COVID cases and lockdowns. Coming from the middle east, I was also completely unprepared for the cold. It had been a long time since I had seen snow on the ground and freezing, sleeting rain. Nevertheless, I had a great time and plan to return during the more temperate months. Cost of living is incredibly cheap, the food (especially breakfast) is incredible and for someone with a sweet tooth, it is hard to beat. The convergence of east meets west in Istanbul is well known, but it really sinks in while taking in the view of the Bosphorous, knowing that humans were standing in the same place thousands of years earlier.
