MODERN | EXPANSION | SURPRISING
With Qatar hosting the World Cup in 2022, I expect that many people who would otherwise never be exposed to the country will get the chance to visit. We were fortunate to not only visit Qatar but also do so while staying with friends. The entire country, which can be traversed via car in less than a day, seems to be under construction, especially the bustling downtown. We were constantly surprised by the kindness of the people, the diversity of the food and the luxuriousness of what they’ve built in the desert on the edge of the sea.
